NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – David “Young Buck” Brown has been sentenced after entering a plea deal in Tennessee.
The Nashville-born rapper pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon after being convicted of a felony in Tennessee.
Now, Brown has been sentenced to eight years (30% suspended) with the remaining balance to be served on community corrections, meaning he will not be going to prison.
Back in April 2025, protestors gathered at the Sumner County Courthouse to oppose his arrest. At that time, Brown was serving a 30-day sentence for violating his bond supervision at least six different times, according to the Sumner County District Attorney’s Office.
Brown was charged with domestic assault, vandalism and possession of a weapon, following an incident with his then-girlfriend in 2020.
Court records show that his former girlfriend allegedly shot at him and was charged with reckless endangerment. Supporters of the former G-Unit artist believe the charges against him are unjust.
