Should Jennifer Williams return for the next season of Basketball Wives?
If you watch the hit VH1 series, then you’re well aware that Season 7 just ended and it was a dramatic and explosive one.
In fact, Basketball Wives had some of its highest ratings in years due to all of the multiple feuds on the show.
The biggest storylines all revolved around Jennifer Williams, Shaunie O’Neal, Tami Roman & Evelyn Lozada and Malaysia Pargo.
Tami Roman shared that Jennifer Williams told Roman and Malaysia Pargo that Evelyn Lozada slept with Shaunie O’Neal’s ex (Rumored to be Shaquille O’Neal.)
These rumors were quickly denied by Lozada as she tried to make it seem like Tami had been grasping at straws and trying to find something negative to say about her.
Williams denied spreading the rumor before Tami provided some text messages to Shaunie that showed Jennifer was indeed responsible for spreading said rumor.
Even with that, Evelyn still mostly placed her blame at Tami and O’Neal was upset that this rumor was around for a year and no one said anything.
Jennifer also got caught up in another rumor. This time she was allegedly going to use Malaysia to get back at Evelyn.
That didn’t sit well with Malaysia, who ended up telling Evelyn that Williams said some negative stuff about Lozada’s daughter. Jennifer denied it but Shaunie jumped out to confirm Malaysia’s claim.
Jennifer recently did an interview with The Breakfast Club to clear her name in all of the drama from the past season of Basketball Wives and to expose Shaunie O’Neal in the process.
“Shaunie starts a lot of things behind the scenes….It’s really interesting that Shaunie has selective memory. She couldn’t seem to remember if Tami had said those things, which had happened … She never wants to be in the middle of everything. Every season I feel like somebody has to take the fall. They gang up on somebody every season. It was my turn ya know? I honestly would like to move forward in my life … I’m under contract – I don’t know what’s going to happen….I just want to move forward.”
Jenn admits that the “amped-up ratchet antics” this past season might have been a result of a ratings drop during Season 6. All of the extra drama this season has translated into more coins for Shaunie.
“The ratings have been through the roof this season. Which means that’s an extra check for Shaunie O’Neal,” she also stated.
It sounded like Jen doesn’t care about being asked to come back to the show and it caused many to assume that Shaunie — who also serves as executive producer of the reality series — had already given her the pink slip.
According to theJasmineBRAND.com, following claims that O’Neal fired Williams, she reportedly made it clear that she has not done so. In fact, she claims no decision has been made on who will or will not return for the show’s next season.
Also, some are convinced that Jennifer is actually making her way over to Real Housewives Of Atlanta, so who knows what the reality show future holds? But feel free to take a guess anyway.
Do you think Jennifer should return for Season 8 of Basketball Wives?
