Nicki Minaj has broken her silence after she was slammed by fans for becoming a MAGA ally.
Nicki has faced significant backlash recently for her shift to the right, which has seen her hanging out with Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, calling Donald Trump a “role model” and criticizing Gavin Newsom’s support for transgender children.
The Superbass singer, previously, had been a vocal opponent of Donald Trump, having condemned him as early as 2010, calling him a negative example of double standards, noting that men like him are praised as “bosses” for the same assertive behavior that gets women labeled negatively.

In 2016, she then criticized Trump’s stance on mass deportation, rapping, “Donald Trump want me go home,” on her track Black Barbies. However, her stance dramatically changed, in what some have coined a “MAGA conversion.”
Nicki reshared one of the president’s social media posts about Christians being persecuted in Nigeria. She also praised the 79-year-old during an appearance with Erika Kirk at AmericaFest, during which she said, “I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president.”
Since then, she has ostracized many of her fans, with more than 120,000 people signing a petition to get the Trinidad and Tobago native deported from the USA. This, in turn, led her to deactivate her Instagram, and she has remained quiet on social media since.
But, she has now broken her silence, taking to X on the evening of January 18 to slam broadcast journalist Don Lemon.
