Something Positive we can look forward to this Weekend.
This is the first of many Documentaries for Twin Cities Hip-Hop Scene.
In 2010 Producer & Independent Journalist Ralph L. Crowder III created a documentary film about the “Great Day in Twin Cities Hip Hop” photo shoot organized by Dj Stage One. The gathering was a reflection of important achievements and affirmation.
A wide group attended with various experiences in the Twin Cities Hip Hop community. Every city has a unique story with many layers known and unknown.
Minneapolis and Saint Paul have been in the National and International spotlight with the Hip Hop Art community as the forecaster of the coming unstable weather.
This important documentary is a time capsule and inroads into a rare look of black youth cultural expression prior to the 2020 George Floyd uprising.
There will be refreshments, live music, and a panel discussion with local hip-hop legends after the screening of the “A Great Day in Twin Cities Hip Hop” Documentary.
This event is free, but registration is required. boxoffice@mnhs.org
