Diddy accepts Jermaine Dupri’s “Hit for Hit” battle challenge. Finally! Looks like we’re finally closer to a Diddy Jermaine Dupri Battle.
The much-anticipated face-off is now upon us. Sean Combs popularly known by P.Diddy or Puff Daddy has finally accepted Jermaine Dupri’s long-awaited Verzuz challenge.
Back in 2020, producer Jermaine Dupri, owner of So So Def Recordings which is an American record label based in the United States, said that he and Diddy would “break the internet” with a Verzuz challenge. However, to his disappointment, the record executive turned down the challenge in response, claiming that Dupri didn’t have enough hits.
Come 2021, Jermaine Dupri in an Instagram post asked again for the Verzuz again. “Somebody let @diddy know I’m @thegarden right now ! And he gon need some training for me,” he said.
It is 2022 and Diddy seems to have finally decided to put a wrap to the back and forth by proving himself. In a recent IG live video, he told Dupri to “let’s come together.”
“J.D., if you want that smoke, you can get that smoke anytime,” Diddy said while Dupri interrupted him saying repeatedly, “relax.”
“Since we ain’t fckin’ around with Verzuz no more since because they fckin’ around with our boys, we don’t need to be going against each other… Let’s come together and do that Bad Boy, So So Def in Atlanta… It ain’t no Verzuz, it’s just hit for hit,” said Diddy.
Diddy later clarified in another post, that he’s not fucking with Triller, and it’s nothing against Swizz and Timbaland. He just can’t mess with Triller until they get Swizz and Timb their money. Swizz Beatz and Timbaland recently sued Triller for $28 million over payments for Verzuz, which were supposed to be made earlier in the year.
